A good cat deserves a good rat.

A tradition in the UK called the Glorious 12th starts at the crack of dawn today. This pertains to the 12th of August which is the start of the season for shooting the red gouse.

Did you know?

Apparently termites will chew faster on woods if a loud thumping music is playing in the background. So if you have or suspect infestation of termites in your house or vicinity, for goodness' sake do not play Heavy metal or rock music.

Belladona Drops (Deadly Nightshade) - This name was adopted from Italian Belladonna which means beautiful lady.



Drops prepared from belladona were used as cosmetics by women. It apparently dilate the pupils and widen the eyes which can make women look even more attractive.

Unfortunately the side effect were blurry vision, increased heart rate, glaucoma, and even blindness.

Wow all for the sake of fashion.
